The 2025 Kia EV6: What’s New and Exciting

Kia’s 2025 EV6 has been revealed with a fresh makeover and an enhanced powertrain lineup. The new model gets a slight price bump, starting at $42,900 before adding a destination fee, which is now at $1,475. It’s a modest increase considering the list of improvements, such as its updated design and build. The EV6 is now proudly assembled in West Point, Georgia.
What’s New?

The EV6’s front end shows off a facelift, introducing Star Map lighting which gives it a broader, sportier look. An angular front bumper and revised hood complement the lighting. Visual updates extend to its rear with three-dimensional taillights and revamped cladding that catches the eye. The wheels are restyled, available in sizes ranging from 19- to 21-inches.
Inside, the cabin retains much from the previous model year. Yet, subtle upgrades like a new steering wheel and an updated center console are notable. Two 12.3-inch screens are standard, serving as the nerve center for entertainment and driving data. The entry-level model includes features like heated front seats, fabric/SynTex upholstery, a 10-way power driver’s seat, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
Tech and Safety
Standard on the 2025 EV6 are Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Highway Driving Assist, and High Beam Assist, enhancing the driving experience. Safety technologies include Blind Spot Collision Avoidance, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance, and Forward Collision-Avoidance, ensuring peace of mind on the road.
Power Updates
Among the noteworthy improvements, the 2025 EV6 incorporates bigger battery packs, with options of 63 kWh and 84 kWh, replacing the former 58 kWh and 77.4 kWh variants. Consequently, the range stretches between 231 to 319 miles, satisfying the demands of everyday commuting and more. With the North American Charging Standard onboard, charging at Tesla Superchargers is seamless.
Performance Specs
The heart of the EV6 lineup beats with various power choices. The entry-level EV6 Light is propelled by a rear motor delivering 167 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Optionally, the Light Long Range, Wind, and GT-Line kits are available in rear-wheel drive at 225 horsepower or all-wheel drive with a thrilling 320 horsepower. The headline-maker is the GT model, boasting 601 horsepower, which climbs further to 641 with Launch Mode, rocketing from zero to 60 mph in merely 3.4 seconds.
Driving Experience
Driving the 2025 EV6 is a blend of comfort and dynamism. The Light model offers a relaxed drive with ample torque for daily errands. Meanwhile, the GT version is a beast of performance, rivalling more expensive sports cars in its acceleration and prowess. Whether cruising down the highway or negotiating curves, the EV6 performs with an agility that speaks volumes of Kia’s forward-thinking engineering.
Overall, the 2025 Kia EV6 is not just an electric vehicle; it’s a statement of modern automotive design and technological advancement. With its range and features, it’s poised as a compelling choice among EVs on today’s market.
