Supra’s Last Lap

Saying Farewell to the Supra MkV

After a legendary run, Toyota is waving goodbye to the Supra in 2026. But before it bows out, the Supra MkV Final Edition comes to give fans one last thrill. While the engine stays unchanged with a solid 382-horsepower turbocharged inline-six from BMW, this version doesn’t skimp on enhancements. Upgraded Brembo brakes and a sharp ducktail carbon fiber rear spoiler boost both stopping power and downforce.

Handling Upgrades

The MkV Final Edition Supra isn’t just about looks; it brings significant handling improvements. The revised suspension includes adjusted camber settings, re-tuned electronically controlled shocks, a fresh front stabilizer bar, and new bushings. The differential software and power steering are optimized for a better drive, guaranteeing a refined experience behind the wheel.

Exclusive Features

In addition to the technical tweaks, the MkV Final Edition offers some visual upgrades. Exclusive 19-inch matte black wheels and gloss carbon fiber mirror caps make an appearance. Inside, drivers will find Alcantara on the seat and striking red stitching on the gear shift. Optional extras include a graphics package inspired by the GR Supra GT4 Evo2, featuring GR graphics, blacked-out trim, and red mirror caps. A car cover is also part of the package.

Comparisons

Yet, the carrot dangles further abroad with the A90 Final Edition, available in Europe and Japan. That model doesn’t hold back, boosting power to 429 horsepower with 420 pound-feet of torque. A functional vented hood, KW suspension from the GT4, and a swan-neck rear wing offer a true race car feel. Let’s not forget about those sweet carbon fiber bucket seats.

Final Thoughts

Sure, the MkV Final Edition may not pack the same punch as the A90 overseas, but it refines the Supra as we know it. With about a year left before the Supra exits stage left, there may still be hope for a beefed-up American model. But hey, some things are better than none. Whatever happened to talk of a GRMN Supra, Toyota?
