Dealer Drama

Sometimes dealerships aren’t the epitome of honesty, but the level of shadiness at Bul Auto Sales in Jacksonville, Florida, takes the cake. The dealership’s owner, Vladimir Ranguelov, is under serious investigation for fraud and forgery. Allegations suggest he has left numerous car buyers out of pocket by millions.
Imagine this: folks lined up to drop a cool quarter-million on their dream cars, only to have those dreams vanish into thin air. One unfortunate car enthusiast from Florida shelled out $250,000 for a Lamborghini, only to discover later that someone else had also bought the same car. He was left with an empty garage and a huge hole in his wallet.
Caught in the Act

The situation is no joke. Someone even tried to buy a McLaren 720S for $260,000, and after three blissful months of hitting the road, found out that the car wasn’t legally in their name. The twist? They traded that McLaren for a $300,000 Rolls-Royce, trusting the dealership to sell the McLaren. Spoiler alert: they ended up with neither car nor cash, short by $560,000. Now, that’s a raw deal.
Meanwhile, another car buyer spent $235,000 on a Corvette in Dallas. This poor fellow flew to Jacksonville ready to take his ride home, only to discover it had been seized by the Sheriff’s Office. What’s worse, a 1994 Porsche 911 owner was told his car sold for $155,000, but there was no evidence of any sale. Talk about a vanishing act!
Behind the Curtain
Bul Auto Sales operated suspiciously to say the least. The dealership shut down out of nowhere, leaving a slew of lawsuits and angry customers in its wake. Reports say Ranguelov may have sold cars multiple times or sold them without clearing existing loans, leading to massive legal and financial headaches for buyers. Titles weren’t transferred, which makes sense when cars are essentially free agents instead of tied to legal owners.
One can’t help but feel for the victims caught in this tangled web. While the FBI is now digging into the dealership’s operations in both Jacksonville and Albany, news sources suggest Ranguelov may have skipped town. Karma Automotive, one of the brands linked to these sales, has called it quits on their relationship with Bul Auto Sales as investigations unfold. This dealer drama certainly feels like something out of a car movie gone wrong.
