The 2025 Cadillac Escalade

There’s no doubt about it, the Cadillac Escalade is the heavy hitter when it comes to luxury SUVs. Since its debut in the late ’90s, this beast has been defining the big, lavish SUV market alongside the Lincoln Navigator. Fast forward to today, and the 2025 Cadillac Escalade remains a serious player in the luxury auto scene, even brushing shoulders with the ultra-high-end brands like Rolls-Royce and Bentley. General Motors has made sure it stands out with plenty of bells and whistles that justify its price tag.
Design

The 2025 model continues the fifth generation Escalade saga, which began in 2021. While keeping its familiar silhouette, the front end gets a refreshed look, with the headlights set lower and further apart, coupled with a massive grille that’s signature Cadillac. The new paint choices, like the Deep Sea Metallic, add a touch of personal flair to suit various tastes.
Interior

Hop inside, and it’s clear Cadillac aims for top-tier luxury. The interior boasts an expansive dashboard with an incredible 55 inches of screen real estate. Nearly spanning the entire width of the cabin, this setup is like a tech lover’s paradise. There’s an intuitive new infotainment system that features a waterfall-type center touchscreen with haptic feedback. It integrates seamlessly with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, yet retains built-in Google and Alexa functions for additional flexibility.
Comfort hasn’t been left out. The Escalade offers a new executive second-row seating package ($7,500) featuring heated, ventilated, and massaging seats, fold-out tray tables, and power adjustments. Plus, Cadillac throws in a 40-speaker AKG sound system that’s music to the ears. Oh, and the doors? They’re power-operated, a feature normally found on Rolls-Royce vehicles.
Performance

Under the hood, the robust 6.2-liter V8 engine churns out 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, teamed up with a 10-speed automatic transmission. This setup allows the Escalade to hustle to 60 mph in about 6.5 seconds. But if more power is desired, the Escalade V ups the ante with 682 horsepower.
A flexible magnetic ride control system, along with an adaptive air suspension, ensures the ride stays butter-smooth over bumps and road imperfections. It’s impressive how such a large vehicle maintains its composure with ease, sort of like floating on a cloud while managing to stay grounded.
Fuel & Safety

Okay, it’s not the most fuel-efficient machine on the road, but what ultimate luxury vehicle is? The Escalade’s EPA estimates stand at 14 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway. A full 24-gallon tank allows for around 432 miles of highway driving, which isn’t too shabby.
On the safety front, Cadillac packs in all the expected features, from the SuperCruise hands-free driving to various camera systems including blind-spot monitoring and a 360-degree view. Even lane-keeping assist vibrates the seat to keep drivers alert to their surroundings.
Pricing

With a price tag hitting $132,515 for a fully loaded Sport Platinum 4WD model, it’s a steep ask for some, but when evaluating its luxury offerings, it seems justifiable. Comparing it to British alternatives like Bentley or Rolls-Royce, Cadillac seems to provide similar opulence at nearly half the price. It’s positioned a bit higher than the Lincoln Navigator, but what’s on offer might just be worth the extra bucks.
