Bronco Gets a Fashion Spin

Ford Bronco Meets Fashion

New Bronco

Ford is stepping into an unexpected territory by releasing two unique Bronco concept editions, Storm Floral and Denim Chevron. Both these models were crafted working hand-in-hand with the chic fashion brand alice + olivia, aiming to shake up the predominantly masculine demographic the Bronco has long attracted.

The Collaboration

Originally hitting the scene at Barneys in 2002, alice + olivia, created by Stacey Bendet, brought its flair to these Broncos to make them more attractive to women drivers. Ford isn’t just slapping a new coat of paint on these tough off-roaders; it’s a genuine attempt to mix ruggedness with a dash of style. To kick it off, they launched an alice + olivia x Bronco clothing line with offerings like a $195 t-shirt, a $295 hoodie, and a pair of jeans priced at $795. It’s clear the collaboration is not shying away from combining fashionable elements with automotive charisma.

Concept Editions

Both these style-forward Broncos are based on the Sasquatch variants. Starting with the Storm Floral Edition, this comes with a vibrant floral wrap, giving the vehicle an almost garden-like appearance. Inside, the Storm Floral has a custom dashboard lined in a wood-like material, adding an upscale touch that wouldn’t seem out of place in other high-end trims, like the Outer Banks. The typical silver accents have been switched to gold, and the seats sport a classy two-tone look with white leather and brown details.

As for the Denim Chevron Edition, it veers towards a more playful exterior, decorated with sticker-adorned tire covers reminiscent of the Jeep CJ Levi’s Edition. The interior is no less impressive, featuring seats that mimic blue denim, wrapped in durable blue marine-grade vinyl. Camel leather and gold accents complete the look, ensuring everything feels polished and fun at the same time.

Driving Feel

Behind the wheel, these concept Broncos offer a strong connection to Ford’s off-road lineage. Underneath these fashionable exteriors lurks the soul of a Bronco, ready to conquer any trail. The naturally aspirated engines provide more than enough grunt to keep things interesting whether cruising along beach sands or tackling more rugged terrain. Thanks to their heritage, these vehicles reflect a balance between a usable everyday ride and a competent off-road machine. Compared to more utilitarian offerings like Jeep’s Wranglers, the Bronco’s emphasis on style is a breath of fresh air.

Ford’s Global Creative Director of Brand Design, Lori Maday, nailed it when she mentioned the Bronco is perfect for those who want to enjoy freedom on beaches with the top down, as well as conquer mountain paths. This collaboration opens up the world of adventure-oriented SUVs to a broader audience, showcasing that rugged doesn’t have to compromise on style and personality.
