The Offer

The Tesla Cybertruck, with its unique, edgy design, is getting a financial boost of sorts. Tesla has introduced a 0% APR financing promotion that could make it more enticing for potential buyers. However, there are certain conditions to be aware of before jumping on this opportunity.
Requirements

To lock in the 0% APR, the Cybertruck must be equipped with Full Self-Driving (FSD) capability, priced at $8,000. Buyers must take delivery of their truck before the end of June. This offer likely aims to reduce Tesla’s Cybertruck inventory in the current quarter. Reports suggest over 3,500 Cybertrucks may be sitting unsold, so clearing stock seems to be a priority.
Financing Details
Without the FSD package, purchasing an All-Wheel Drive (AWD) Cybertruck at $79,990, over a 60-month period with a 5.54% APR, equates to approximately $1,571 monthly payments before taxes, totaling roughly $94,660 after five years, excluding additional fees and taxes.
With the $8,000 FSD, the truck costs $87,990. Utilizing the 0.99% APR promotion, monthly payments drop to approximately $1,538 before taxes and fees, while putting nothing down. However, a down payment of 4%, which is about $4,000, secures the full 0% APR, reducing the monthly outlay to $1,433. This results in a more manageable total cost of about $89,980 over 60 months.
Why the Deal?
Some speculate that Tesla’s declining stock prices or the fallout between Elon Musk and political figures might prompt such offers. It could also simply be a strategy to boost Cybertruck adoption rates, which haven’t quite met the ambitious goals set by Musk. Initially, the Cybertruck was expected to hit production numbers of 250,000 annually, with Musk even suggesting a future goal of 1 million. However, fewer than 50,000 units have reportedly been sold so far.
Driving Sensation
Taking the Cybertruck for a spin delivers a driving experience unlike any traditional pickup. This electric beast provides instant torque and handles smoothly, especially impressive for a vehicle of its size. Compared to the likes of the Ford F-150 or Chevy Silverado, the Cybertruck stands out with its modern tech and futuristic features. The Full Self-Driving technology adds a layer of hands-free ease, though it does take some getting used to for those accustomed to conventional controls.
The coming months will show whether or not this financial incentive will significantly impact Cybertruck sales. For now, it presents an intriguing option for those in the market for an all-electric truck with cutting-edge features.
