Volkswagen has rolled out details for its 2026 lineup, with models hitting dealerships as early as August. Volkswagen Taos

The Taos, known as VW’s smallest and budget-friendly crossover, got a big makeover in 2025, so 2026 brings subtle upgrades. Rear-seat pretensioners are now standard, and a mid-year switch will introduce improved 15-watt wireless charging. On top versions like the SEL, expect an enhanced sound system with eight booming speakers.

Volkswagen Tiguan

The all-new 2025 Tiguan left quite an impression with a fresh design and tech-packed interior. 2026 introduces the SEL R-Line Turbo, sporting a potent 268-horsepower turbo engine, a jump up from the standard 201 hp. VW updated its Travel Assist and lane-change assist across all models, adding a layer of safety.

Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport

For VW’s roomy Atlas models, updates are minimal. New for the SE with Technology trim and above is a factory-installed HomeLink mirror. The Peak Edition, SEL, and SEL Premium R-Line trims also benefit from this addition.

Volkswagen ID.4

VW’s electric venture, ID.4, stays the brand’s sole SUV EV in 2026. The S Plus models get a new HomeLink mirror, but an anticipated mid-year update will introduce further features, keeping this eco-friendly ride competitive.

ID.Buzz Awaits

Similar to the Taos, 2026 Jettas come standard with rear-seat pretensioners. The SE enjoys a sunroof by default, wireless charging is amped to 15 watts, and the SEL gets a beefed-up eight-speaker audio experience.

Golf Lineup

The 2026 Golf GTI doesn’t see major changes after losing its manual transmission and gaining a fresh infotainment setup in 2025. The Golf R, much like its GTI sibling, remains largely unchanged but now comes in an eye-catching Graphite Grey Metallic.

VW hasn’t confirmed 2026 pricing yet, but it’s coming soon since these cars roll out by August.
